Reports on Anna Nicole Smith’s mysterious death are still up and running. Both blogs and news sites have various speculations as to what caused the sudden death of the former Playboy playmate. Some pointed to dope and thought that an unhealthy lifestyle might have triggered it. Others are thinking there might be some foul play at work in here. And others, unfortunately, try to blame plastic surgery for what happened.
MSNBC reports that Anna Nicole Smith may have had recent breast surgery to repair one of her breast implants before she died. It was also reported that Anna had also been prescribed over 10 different types of pain medication, and may have been taking excessive amounts because she developed a tolerance to the effects.
TMZ has more on this matter.
Death from cosmetic plastic surgeries occurs in one out of 57,000 cases, per the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Two million plastic surgeries were performed in the United States in 2005.
Adverse reactions to surgery could become serious; there are numerous documented cases of seizures, heart attacks and high fevers leading to death. Recent published research shows that inflammation caused by common respiratory and urinary tract infections like bronchitis, pneumonia and cystitis, may contribute to in increased risk of heart attack and stroke, and the greatest risk is in the earliest stages of infection.
While these speculations have a kernel of truth to them, it appears that the results of the autopsy did not support the claim. Anything could have happened and authorities are doing their best to come up with a solid conclusion and solve the case.
Rest In Peace, ANS.
