Concerns over LifeStyle Lift

This is not to destroy the reputation of Lifestyle Lift, the procedure that sweeps the country according to their site, but this is something that really is just interesting and is worth sharing.

NBC San Diego managed to talk to women who happened to avail of the services of the doctors of Lifestyle Lift. Here are the accounts of the women who were not satisfied with the results they got and who believed that Lifestyle Lift is all bluff.

Here is an excerpt of the interviews from NBC San Diego:

She's asked us not to use her name but says she wants other women to see her scars and the suture that later poked threw her skin and know what she experienced the next day after surgery.

"My head was as big as a basketball. You can't open your mouth to put a scrambled egg in."

She says she experienced a high-pressure sales pitch at this office in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. And even knowing though she signed a consent form with all the potential risks, she says she was told she'd have no bruising and the scars would be too small to see.

"They are so dead set on getting you to sign up that day, that they will say anything."

That sounds really scary, being pressured to undergo a certain cosmetic procedure. But the scare does not end there. Patients even complained about not having a thorough consultation with a cosmetic surgeon before they underwent the procedure.

"The day of the surgery was the first time I met with any of the doctors."

Tamara also told us she wasn't presented with this consent form explaining all the potential risks until right before the surgery.

Another woman tells us the same thing. "They gave me a consent form as I'm walking into surgery."

Things like this have to really be given enough consideration before jumping right into the pit and go through a procedure you barely know about. If things don’t feel right, leave at once and never look back.

This is not just about Lifestyle Lift, this is about all procedures offered out there which are implementing processes that are not working for the welfare of their patients.

Cosmetic procedures require a thorough consultation with a reputable and board-certified cosmetic surgeon and if this thing is not met from the beginning, then don’t expect for great results to come. Things like this will keep on happening unless patients exercise full responsibility in their acts and decisions.

  • It's Appalling

I also don't want to be nasty about innovative approaches or imply that all the "lite" facelift procedures are bad, but this post about the Lifestyle Lift is appalling. And it's far from the first time I have heard really frightening things about the facial procedures with the cute names. All you have to do is read a few of the forums and message boards out there to find dozens of women who are very dissatisfied.

It will cost a bit more, and involve a bit more recovery time, but in my book the tried-and-true is best when it comes to plastic surgery. San Diego women should consult Dr. Richard Chaffoo about the options for San Diego face lifts. He's not only board certified, he's triple board certified. He's well aware of all the options out there, and he sticks with the traditional face lift--for a reason.

Concerns over Lifestyle Lift story by Tamara 10/18/06

I'm sorry, but this is a very odd story to be told by an adult woman! She says she actually agreed to have surgery without meeting the Dr. first?? Why?? She thought she could have surgery on her face and have NO bruising and scars "too small to see"?? I really don't believe any medical establishment would say such a thing.

People also have to take SOME responsibility in the things they go thru and experience of surgery. Ask questions, don't walk into things like this blindly!

People ask more questions when they buy a car than when they have their faces carved up!
