Cosmetic Surgery Financing

Cosmetic surgery is not exactly the cheapest of medical procedures. A nose job, for example, could cost anywhere between $4,000 to $12,000. Meanwhile, those who are thinking about getting a facelift could also be set back by some $5,000 or more.

That may be chicken feed to celebrities who undergo cosmetic surgery as often as they change their socks (Michael Jackson, anyone?). However, most everyone still needs to resort to saving up, maxing out their credit cards, or entering into a deal with a financing company just to get some cosmetic surgical job done.

The latter is becoming an increasingly popular option, and not without reason. With cosmetic surgery financing, a prospective patient won’t have to wait years saving up for a particular procedure. Some financing companies, who are only all-too-eager to take up a client’s plastic surgery costs, offer terms as low as $100 dollars a month for, say, liposuction. Pretty easy deal, don’t you think?

Simply put, financing companies have made cosmetic surgery procedures more affordable and accessible for the working class.

There are, however, a number of things that you have to consider before signing up for the services of a financing company. Hope you find these cosmetic surgery financing tips useful.

  • Be sure to check w/your insurance company

I work in plastic surgery, with a doctor specializing in breast augmentation on Long Island, and while enlargement is typically paid for upfront or with financing, many of today's procedures are covered by insurance, such as breast reduction, breast reconstruction, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and panniculectomy after massive weight loss. So, be sure to ask your doctor and to check with your insurance company. You never know. Good luck.

    PS Financing

I'm working on the site of a surgeon who performs Torrance plastic surgery, and he has a section on the site called, "Cosmetic Surgery Financing." It's got a bit of information re: financing, but it's also got links to two separate companies that can help prospective patients pay for their procedure. Maybe it'll help...
