Many people would agree that not everything can be dealt with by exercise. Yes, it is not doubt that proper exercise bring tremendous changes and improvement to body contour and elimination of body fat but that is not always true for all people. Some do a hundred crunches and sit-ups a day but still are continuously bothered by excess fat around their waists. The bulging tummy is too stubborn for a daily exercise regimen to deal.

That is why people who are actually considered to be already fit and slim turn to cosmetic surgery to address the issue of stubborn excess fat in certain parts of the body. Unsightly bulges on the tummy and thighs are usually the most prominent. And some are trying hard to get them removed through exercise but were consistently disappointed.

The only way to address this problem is through cosmetic surgery. And the procedures that patients undergo to remove stubborn excess fat on their bodies are Houston tummy tuck and liposuction.

Tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, is a plastic surgery procedure that aims to restore the youthful shape of the abdomen by removing excess skin and fat. In this procedure, the anterior abdomen wall muscles can also be tightened, c-section scars removed, and the groin area reshaped. There are several different techniques which may be used including the mini tummy tuck, the full tummy tuck, and a combination of procedures involving Houston liposuction.

Liposuction, on the other hand, is a plastic surgery procedure which can alter the shape and contour of the body by removing excess fat in selected areas. Liposuction is often referred to as liposculpture and, in skilled hands, it can sculpt the body and bring out a beautiful form. The procedure is extremely safe and can produce excellent results that permanently change the shape of the body.

Some people use these procedures to solve their weight problems. However, that should not be the case. These cosmetic surgery procedures are not meant for people who are overweight because these body-contouring procedures only remove a certain amount of body fat. There’s no way that a board-certified surgeon should go over that limit. Thus, a surgeon screens candidates for liposuction and tummy tucks. Only those that are physically fit can go through the operation, in order to ensure that no complications arise during and after the surgery.

lipodissolve!!! I just read a really eye-opening article about "fat burning" in Allure. Oh, and there's lipo in New Jersey, as well. I know because I had it here at a place performing plastic surgery in New Jersey.

Houston, We Have a Problem (It's a Small ONe)...

Great post, but you don't have to go to Houston (obviously) to enjoy the slimming benefits of a tummy tuck or liposuction, because there are doctors performing cosmetic surgery in Fresno, LA, and small towns all over the country. One thing that you didn't mention that I think should be stated is that patients should ask themselves whether they will be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle following liposuction to remove problem fat. If not, the fat will come back, because although one is predetermined to a specific number of fat cell, the fat cells that remain can increase in size.
