People labeling other people as weaklings, have low self-esteem or lazy because of their choices need to take a look at this article from Tiger Weekly and get some more encouragement. It is not surprising to read about something like this. The image of cosmetic surgery has been tarnished with vanity and luxury that sometimes it is hard to really think that getting cosmetic surgery is really beneficial and necessary. Of course, there are instances when a dazzling woman would want to try to reverse the signs of aging and opt for a facelift or a Botox to address the problem. Perhaps, she would also be treated the same way that others who have multiple surgeries done on their bodies. It seems that though the public has become more aware of the impact of cosmetic surgery, some folks still do find the concept disgusting.

Technorati Tags: plastic surgery Plastic surgeons are generally perceived as among the medical professionals who make oodles of money in the course of practicing their profession. Whether we like it or not, people often see plastic surgery as cosmetic, and often equate it with rich, affluent clients, supposedly the only type who can afford to undergo the generally costly plastic surgery procedures. But there is an entirely different side to all that. While it is true that many plastic surgeons make a good living out of performing nose jobs, liposuction, facelifts, or tummy tucks on patients who can afford such operations, it is also a fact that most of them lend their skills and talents to volunteer work. With their highly specialized skills, these doctors help better the lives of thousands upon thousands of people all over the world.

Technorati Tags: brow lift Plastic-Surgery.Net offers important details about brow lift surgery risks and side effects.
Nerve damage is one of them. Sometimes the nerves that control the eyebrows are damaged during the procedure and you can lose control of the eyebrow muscles. Patients who experience this are unable to raise their eyebrows or frown. Remedial surgery can often correct this problem. Sometimes there are complications along the length of the incision. Since the skin must be pulled back and held in place, the incisions can widen while they're healing while under tension. The hair follicles in the incision region may also be damaged and could fall out. The scars can be fixed with additional surgery and the hair usually grows back in a month.

The article mentions Westernization Rhinoplasty, one of the services offered by Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Paul Nassif, who also happens to be featured in the piece.

Friday July 7, 2006 in: Nose Surgery
Tag(s):
Technorati Tags: nose surgery, nose job Ever heard of the age-old cliché that a family that does things together stays together or something along those lines? Well, a mother and daughter team featured in an ABC News report just added another dimension to the said cliché—by getting nose jobs together.
Elvia Rabinor said she hadn't seriously considered plastic surgery until her daughter, Lauren-Beth Kassinger, asked her about it. "She called me and said, 'What are you doing this next week? How about getting your nose done?'" Rabinor said. Plastic surgeons say this mother-daughter team is an example of a growing trend — friends or relatives going under the knife together.

Look Ma, it’s Pain-free Cosmetic Surgery
Tuesday July 4, 2006 in: General Plastic Surgery
Tag(s):
Technorati Tags: cosmetic surgery We hear about painless surgery and we blink at the thought if “look ma, no pain” is an honest statement of utter comfort -- especially from one who just had a major neck-lift. From simple to complicated plastic surgeries, anesthesia has been a great tool to keep a patient asleep, nearly immobile and out of pain. But once someone wakes up, anesthesia does little to curb the pain caused by invasive procedures. In recent years, the medical field has been advancing and heralding pain-free surgery with some experts saying the possibility is not so far off. So those who are timid about having surgeries for fear of pain shouldn't put it off: advances in pain management and a new focus on patient comfort are making many procedures nearly pain-free.
