Plastic surgeons are developing new techniques to bring out the best result out of a facelift surgery. Nowadays, there have been many techniques and methods employed in facelift surgery that it sometimes gets confusing where to go to get the desired results possible.

One of these modern techniques applied in facelift surgery is called Surface Natural Lift, created by Surface Medical Director Dr. Aaron Barson in 2001. This method is less invasive compared to the usual facelift surgery but it offers immediate results and a softer and more natural look than traditional facelifts.

Here’s more from the Surface Clinics:

Surface physicians perform the Natural Lift by placing a special type of small suture under the skin with a tiny needle. The sutures lift and hold sagging skin, helping to eliminate drooping brows, sagging cheeks, prominent jowls and a wrinkled neck. Sutures are made in the hairline so they aren’t visible while they heal.

Since only a numbing agent (local anesthetic), is required the client may remain awake during the procedure, which is done on an outpatient basis. Clients can resume their normal activities quickly with virtually no downtime.

Other advantages of the Natural Lift compared to traditional facelifts include minimal recovery time, more natural and long-lasting results, and no visible scars.

  • Face It, Nothing Replaces a Good Old Fashioned Face Lift, Except

... except maybe one of today's many cosmetic fillers or a mini/"short scar" facelift. I'm not a surgeon, but like anonymous, I agree that this new "surface natural lift" sounds a bit like the old threadlift. And, like anonymous, I work with quite a few plastic surgeons, including one that when it comes to a face lift in Houston, has performed quite a few of the facial rejuvenating procedures. If you feel like your look isn't all that it can be (or what it used to be), you should keep in mind that facelifts aren't what they used to be–they're better because incisions are smaller and the results are more natural looking.

Sounds like the Threadlift to Me

This "Surface Natural Lift" sounds a lot like the infamous ThreadLift to me. For anyone who doesn't know, the leading manufacturer of threads and barbs for use under facial skin has taken them off the market. Many people who had treatment with the ThreadLift said it just didn't work.

Most board certified plastic surgeons I know, like one who performs San Ramon face lift surgery, say that you need a tried and true facelift for real results. That means lifting both muscles and skin. And yes, it means real incisions and a good couple of weeks recovery. But the outcome delights most patients and is truly lasting.
