Sex Bomb singer Tom Jones has been in the music industry for quite a long time but people have been amazed at the way the singer has managed to maintain his looks. He has been through a lot of plastic surgery makeovers in order to look a lot younger than his age and so far he has succeeded.

    Until today.

Well, Tom is advised by his plastic surgeon to stop going under the knife to prevent his face from experiencing facial collapse.

The Daily Mail has this to say:

His ageing appearance comes just seven months after he admitted that, following years of cosmetic surgery, he has been warned that his face will collapse if has any more work done.

And last night top plastic surgeon Alex Karidis said: "Years of sun damage from the harsh Californian sun has not done Tom's Welsh skin much good.

"He also has very prominent dynamic lines caused from where the muscles in the face contract and tighten, as well as very pronounced laughter lines. A career of smiling and expression have taken their toll.

"No amount of surgery could eradicate these lines and at his age, the last thing I would recommend is more surgery. A spot of Botox, to relax these lines, is the only thing that might help reduce the wrinkling.

Tom sure needs some rest. He has had enough work done on his face already. But it is possible though that Tom has already had dysmorphophobia, so it’s going to be tough preventing him to have another surgery on his face. A psychologist might be of help in this case.

  • Plastic Surgery Addiction

Addiction to plastic surgery has not only affected Tom Jones, but many other celebrities as well. As in all things, moderation is key. Being fortunate enough to work with a plastic surgeon in Houston who knows how to advise his clients when enough is enough is a blessing.

Tom Jones eyes already seem popping

Tom's eyes at times seem to look and stick out like Marty Feldmen's eyes. But unlike Marty Feldmen eyes the difference is that they don't stay out continuously. They go in and out back and forth. Did bad Plastic eye surgery cause this ?
Does anyone know an explanation for this ?

"Don't make me use the sex bomb, doc!"

Well, first off, I've always been a big fan of Tom's. I like his Vegas stuff, his modern remakes, and I might be one of the few people who actually owns some of his country albums, such as "Darlin'"). I've always liked him (1) because he's a great performer (2) has a fantastic voice and (3) isn't afraid to laugh at/spoof himself. Oh, and he's made a "career of smiling." Doesn't get much better than that. Honestly, although I think most people would agree that he's had plastic surgery, as someone who works in the business (with a plastic surgeon who performs face lift in Houston), I've personally never thought of Tom as someone who's addicted to surgery. For instance, I don't put Tom and, say, Michael Jackson in the same category, either when it comes to either plastic surgery or talent. With that said, I hope Tom takes the advice of his plastic surgeon (as I hope all patients do).

    Tom Jones: Plastic Surgery Addict

It's 2008 and we're still talking about Tom Jones? Long live the 1970s I guess. But this article brings up a good point: there are a lot of good reasons for considering facelift, and a lot of bad ones too. I work with a plastic surgeon in Chicago - facelift is one of the more popular procedures he performs and I have to say that the overwhelming majority of patients are interested in facial cosmetic improvement for the right reasons. The doctor is careful to screen each patient, and people who are "cosmetic surgery addicts" or whatever are not going to be scheduled for a procedure.
